Application | Annual Grants for Former Fellows

Harvard University’s Center for Hellenic Studies invites Former Fellows to submit proposals for annual grants in support of research, publications, and curricular development related work.

Awards range between $3,000 and $10,000, and they will be disbursed every January and July. Please notice that the program is not intended to support conference travel. 

Awards will be disbursed in January 2023. 

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be Former Fellows from at least one of the following categories: Residential Fellows in Washington, DC; Early Career Fellows in Greece and Cyprus; Early Career Fellows in Philhellenism; Fellows (or Visiting Scholars) in Comparative Cultural Studies; and Pre-doctoral Fellows. This program is not open to CHS Associates and Visiting Scholars and Artists.

CHS encourages innovative activities and proposals that strengthen the team participation of several members of the Former Fellows’ community.

Application Information

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, December 9, 2022, at midnight (Eastern). Awards will be disbursed in January 2023.

Please note: If you are proposing an in-person, round-table event at the CHS, the number of participants that may be accommodated in the conference room is 20. Housing on campus is available only during the months of June and July, and the housing capacity is 16 persons. Additional housing needs may be accommodated in hotels.
